Hello, I am a new author of Key of Mystery, #1 in the NIGHT ANGELS CHRONICLES, a YA Urban Fantasy series. It is a very feminist series. I am so excited to put this out there, and inspire young women to reach their highest potential and to have strength. My female characters are multi-cultural and they stand on their own two feet. I am a boxer and a kickboxer. I survived abuse and now I train women and girls in self-defense. I also co-founded a creative writing program for incarcerated youth called InsideOUT Writers, started working with a group of girls facing life sentences for serious crimes back in 1995. Many of those girls are now incredible women living inspiring lives, who I kept in touch with all this time. Last year I started My World Project, connecting children around the world in remote and war-torn areas, I just returned from one month in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. It was especially wonderful to give voice to the girls in this tiny village. Key of Mystery was published Feb 5th so I could not enter it. Is there a way to still have it considered, or do I wait until next year? Here is a link to an interview just published in the UK. Thank you so much!

You can contact us directly at if you have further questions and/or to arrange for committee members to obtain copies of eligible books. Thanks again!

Thank you so much! I am so excited about this award. I have such strong feelings about this topic! (Honestly, books like the Twilight series make me boiling mad) If you have a minute, check out my new blog today about the MY WORLD PROJECT I recently started.
    All the best!
